Things are again spiraling out of control in this ep but over a broader swath of things, and everyone is paranoid that they’re being bugged (except the one person who should be concerned and her place is being tapped rn)

The teaser had an American diplomat/spy who’s just moved to East Berlin with his (newlywed) wife, given the “don’t trust anyone” speech at the embassy’s Quiet Room, but none of that matters because his next door neighbour is fucking Schweppenstette (although I don’t know if he’s on his A game right now)

Martin has recovered info that shows a terrorist group is planning an attack on a hotel in Paris and has passed it on to his Handler-Girlfriend.

He even knows the name of the hotel.

Problem is there’s so many Hotel VOLTAIRE in Paris it’s impossible to cover them all without causing a panic.

And of course his Handler-Girlfriend, The West German Spy, can’t reveal the source of her info because everyone is still looking for Martin after the events of the first season.

so they’re basically running in circles, oh and just for added effect this is four days after the bombing of TWA 840 (archive footage showed us a nice little hole in the aircraft.)
