Oh that was the end of the movie, theres 40 minutes of…alternate scenes? im not sure. anyway decent enough.

Welp 4 choppers and people in chemical warfare gear just showed up, complete with elevator music. 

Malevil is the name of the castle/village where are protags have survived. There’s a train tunnel where another set of survivors are living (in a train) not 20km down the line and of course those are autocratic (a need for conflict or this would be a different type of movie). There really is a similar visual feel to other Nuclear War movies of the 80s, (The Day After, Threads). The Old Crone speaks a dialect or mashes her words to be incomprehensible which adds a bit to the surreal.

Still on Malevil, the movie is just long and the vid quality is middling. But it’s interesting.

Malevil is playing like The Day After 

The survivors include city fathers, a thirtysomething man with devolpmental issues and an actual old crone.

Is there anything more french than accidentally surviving the end of the world because you were all gathered in the wine cellar drinking?
