neat little twist on the Need Supplies for Dying Friend trope: They reach the hospital to find the top floors are on fire. what they need is on the ground floor so now they have 2 tickling clocks (get stuff to save friend, don’t get killed by fire). By neat little twist I mean it’s not people hoarding it or having to do a complicated trade.

Series 1 of Survivors ends on a decent cliffhanger, Abby’s been taken by remnants of a working lab and thier gas masked goons (who aren’t affiliated with Samantha’s government-in-training), Greg’s been shot and near death and Dexter is scared and still on the loose. after a couple of subpar episodes the season finale ratched things up in a bit, even if the beats are predictable.

Aalim again gets to prove himself in this episode, he cares deeply for Najid and again show what lengths he’ll go to get him back.
