Some comparison shots from The Stand (1994) and The Stand (2020) “The End”
#Danny watches The Stand
the very odd choice of placing Campion’s scene at the end of the episode (to show Randall Flagg, holding the door for Campion to escape, and later riding with them in the car, unseen to them, while also driving past him as a hitchhiker)
This is the funniest shit
Godammnit he said Yeats correctly. How dare you.
J.K. Simmons as General Starkey
Hamish Linklater as Dr. Ellis tho is a great casting choice, he’s sympathic and personable and actually gets along with Stu.
So um, that’s a choice for the Stand, huh.
I never considered what Harold Lauder 2020 would look like, and it’s so much worse than I could have anticipated. “tortured artist” check. peeping frannie through a hole in the fence (she’s talking to her dad in a scene similar to the first stand adaptation). check. a SISTER?!? check (she had a failure of a bridal shower bc everyone’s already sick). Oh and public humiliation? check.
He also has a stack of rejection letter that’s pinned to the wall for his short story “soul mates”
