I was a tad spoiled about the episode so I knew about the barn.
That’s the sound of Moffat reaching back in time again to give himself a congratulatory blowjob.
The story was decent overall, and there IS something in Rupert’s past. But there’s other elements that have been done in recent DW (The Silence comes as a strong example, but he also did imprison the Daughter from the Family of Blood in “Every Mirror”) anyway.
Just a bit too much ado about bigness here. Clara somehow accessing Gallifrey may or may not be explained. But the subplot with Danny and Clara’s courtship was good. I just am not a fan of “Clara’s Theme"
