I love the final final irony that after basically coming back from the dead, having been basically sunk at the Strait of Gibraltar later surfacing on nothing but spit and bailing wire, a hope and a prayer, U-96 escapes without being seen, limps home to La Rochelle, only to be sunk at home port in a air raid.
