The closer he looks at the child the less he sees, of course with the style of painting being really…but the more he looks at it there’s nothing there and I think he fears that the more you look at him the less you see there isn’t anything there. ღ During the parade several of the people seen dancing (including the construction worker and the window washer) originally had nothing to do with the film. They were simply dancing to the music being played and John Hughes found it so humorous that he told the camera operators to record it.
