and The Witcher’s Swords
“Napoleon Solo comes from… well, his father was an Irish janitor in America. He went over to the UK and found, sort of snuck, his way into the European high society and sort of fell in love with it and lived in that world for a while. And then he got into the black market and was dealing antiques and became very, very good at it. So good in fact, that no one could catch him and he sort of took pride in the fact that he was this… master of evasion. The CIA is desperately trying to catch him. He’s eventually given up by a jealous mistress… and the CIA said, instead of going to jail, how about you work for us, because you’re clearly good at what you do. And it wasn’t much of a question, it was more of an ultimatum, and so… he was forced to do this.
This is how he ends up working for the CIA, very reluctantly, but for him its certainly better than being in jail, because it means he could still skim money off the top and wear nice suits and wear nice shoes and ties and stuff.”

“I’m a big PC gamer, and so I spend a lot of my time role playing games in the fantasy genre. I’ve played The Witcher 3 through, twice. This is the kind of thing I do in my free time, so the opportunity to work on this (The Witcher) for real and make it my job as well and get paid for doing my hobby stuff, was ideal. I also wanted to make sure that Geralt was represented as accurately as possible.”
