I was introduced to Highlander probably at too young an age but I love the original so much, if it isn’t the modern genesis of Immortals in Centuries-Long Conflict trope then I don’t know what is. I love the frenchman playing a scotsman and the scotsman playing a spaniard, the note-perfect soundtrack from queen, the feel of 1980s New York, it’s just so perfect

Highlander Highlander (1986)I mean Highlander II is the epitome of a clusterfuck and parts of me still love that clusterfuck and every Highlander movie since then has been trying hard to forget the 2nd one existed except for the Duncan McCleod one from the mid 2000s set in a postapoc berlin which I never finished The Highlander series was perfectly fine for the era - with Methos and Roger Daltrey elevating the material I have no strong opinions on Highlander the Raven
