my 44-year-old coworker just looked up from his laptop and said “So I guess there’s this new song, Old Town… Old Town Country Road? Should I know about it?” and i absolutely have to scream, not because he missed the number 1 charting song in the US for multiple months but because i know i will be just like that in way less than 20 years. i have practically no interaction with current pop music, if it weren’t for tumblr i wouldn’t know ANYTHING about it
