Mirrorverse fashion: Miles just loves a vest, whichever universe he’s from.
Jadzia in a formfitting jumpsuit is just a bonus.

Jadzia before an Orb Experience
Season 1 Episode 1 “Emissary”
It’s always so weird seeing these shots of the DS9 crew in TNG uniforms. I actually wish they had stuck with the original ‘starship crew wear these and space station crew wear these’ concept, rather than taking the DS9-style uniform over to the TNG movies and to Voyager - particularly as the grey-shoulders uniform came in only a few years after that, and it makes Starfleet seem rather flighty to completely change what the people on its starships wear three times over a couple of decades.
The change from tight, Stewart-spine-crippling onesies to pullovers and slacks (hahaha I love the word slacks) was certainly a good one, though.
That TNG-Blue Medical uniform just did not suit Bashir.

The uniform changes are Odd given that for the span of 60-odd years (sometime prior to Wrath of Khan to sometime after Yesterday’s Enterprise) The Uniform basically stays the same. Oh the turtleneck’s gone by Picard’s time at the Academy and the communicator change from Enterprise-C’s time to Jack Crusher’s time but the Uniform itself stays the same.
Even though he’s too young to have been in Starfleet when they were current, I’ve got a mental picture of Julian in a TNG onesie that is making me cackle.
WHY CAN’T I DRAW.
Maybe Garak and Julian roleplay those days too. Garak’s the downed enemy with the shredded uniform and Julian is thew medic with the onesie that can “save” him…
