Green Shack, 2504 Fremont St, Las Vegas

Mrs. Mettie Jones bought the barracks style building from Union Pacific Railroad, according to family information, hauled it to this area circa ‘32 and opened the Green Shack restaurant. The semi-circular neon sign attached to the front gable, now in the Neon Museum collection, is believed to be from the mid-late 30s. Green Shack closed in 1999. Demolished 2005.
