But the way he says it is man who’s lost, who can’t find his way back, with the new reality filling his every pore. He’s fighting but it seems like a token gesture in this episode and without hope, without a sign all he can do is go through the motions and not think about it too much
I think this is the fist time we’ve seen Sam in pyjamas. that coupled with the static from the outside may meen he’s settling in, at least unconciously. And while, as always, the dream was a little odd (not creepy yet, just odd) he didn’t wake up in start, Gene wasn’t bursting in. He looked like someone who was actually rested for once.
