I bought that exact same toaster for my wife. I was thinking it would last a year, maybe two, and then we could get a "real" toaster (for the record, I don't care that it's a Hello Kitty toaster, I just hate that it leaves a big untoasted spot on one side of the bread). That was like 17 years ago and it's still showing no signs of wearing out.
Hello kitty apparently doesn’t believe in planned obsolescence as my hello kitty flip phone is still perfectly functional and never even needs charging (baffling. possibly because i never really use it) and everyone i know who had a hello kitty radio or CRT TV growing up hasn’t gotten rid of them or sold them for a good price because they refuse to stop working or even show any signs of wear. the devil works hard but hello kitty works harder
