Star Trek: Enterprise “The Council”
#Malcolm Reed
wait. okay. so you're telling me that for the whole season we have these two characters lowkey being passive aggressive towards each other, peacocking and all that. they both feel threatened by the other cause they're both super competent and also their jobs are really similar and all that. AND one of the characters has never had luck with the ladies, while the other has never even been in the proximity of a reference to any sort of romantic or sexual attraction to anyone. and then they start really butting heads, the two ending up in a sparring match where they give passive aggressive tips on how to fight better, pointing out mistakes and stuff like that. they throw each other onto the ground, pin each other down, etc. and this fight escalates and spills out into the hallways of the ship, where a crewmember walks in on them, and one of the characters says "as you were" and they keep fighting. and you're telling me that after aLL THAT, THE FIGHT DOESN'T END UP IN THEM MAKING OUT??? we were ROBBED. ROBBED I TELL YOU
I don't think Malcolm is gay. I think he's autistic, and that's why he always rubbed people the wrong way and never really had a proper friend. He was laser focused on his work, and all his attempts at being social were like a bull in a china shop.
he certainly is a Special Interest Boys. But certainly he has a friend in Trip.
But also can’t help but thinking of the Intricate Rituals with Hayes.
