I love the running gags in the Astérix films that 

1) The pirates are really, really afraid and done with the Gauls

2) and the helmets mimic the character reactions

I always enjoy how they just refer to Asterix and Obelix as “the Gauls.”  There are millions of Gauls, but if a pirate is panicking about “the Gauls” there is no possibility it’s going to be any of the others, it’s just the big redheaded asshole and the little blond asshole.
