Outlander

A bit of Gifspam will follow below. I enjoyed this movie, it took me a bit to fully invest in it, I’m not quite sure what I was expecting. Vikings Vs. an Alien creature with the help of a human-looking spaceman. Again a film of many familiar elements i.e. the lone wanderer comes in and is blamed for all mysterious deaths until proven otherwise. Learns customs (had a nifty if painful information dump into his mind at the beginning of the movie, never mind how they knew all of earths Languages). Jim Cazaviels is our Space Saviour. But again you got past some of the cheese the meat was good, and a clever use of mythology. My only nitpick is sword fighting, it’s great and all but our Outer Space Saviour had a very effective blaster at the beginning of the movie that he dropped, I would have asked, hey Vikings can you take me back to where you ambushed me? I forgot something (better odds) To me it sets perfectly well watching Avatar yes (yes I have not seen it yet, shut up it’s next on my list).
