Richard Hatch, forever Captain Apollo of the Battlestar Galactica.

Apollo and Starbuck captured

Actor Richard Hatch, best known perhaps as Inspector Dan Robbins in “Streets of San Francisco” or in his most prominent role as Apollo in “Battlestar Galactica”, has died. He was 71.

“I share tragic news with a heavy heart,” wrote composer Bear McCreary, who broke the news. “Richard Hatch is no longer with us. Goodbye Tom Zarek / Apollo.”

He’ll be much missed by several people I know who he worked with.
