Stephen King wrote this episode (looks like he wrote a bunch of them but it’s the first one I’ve noticed) and being the season premiere it shows. He’s decided to put the show back on track by:

- Killing a useless main character

- Trapping Big Jim (temporarily) in his old fallout shelter and being confronted by the Dome under the guise of the Radio DJ he killed (somewhat similar towards the ending of the book) but Big Jim gets out
