In Sleepy Hollow season 2, I interviewed the showrunner in the middle of season 2, when it was basically a dumpster fire at that point, and I said to him, ‘Katrina is like, literally within your narrative a useless character. She tried to do magic one and she fainted. What is the point of Katrina?’
And he said, ‘Well Katrina is a strong female character.’
And I just felt like saying, ‘Sir, that is not a magical incantation that protects your narrative from charges of being…CRAP.’

Scully: Why did they assign me to you in the first place, Mulder? To debunk your work, to rein you in, to shut you down.
The best love scene that technically isn’t even a love scene.
#I love her face here because this is literally the first time she’s heard those words # like she’s fought for a desk and doesn’t even have her name on the door #so it’s easy for her scientific brain to rationalize that he doesn’t need her #it’s all about him, she knows, even if she said it wasn’t #he’s the one that matters-it’s his quest and she’s just a tag along #except she’s not # this is the first time Mulder really laments that he needs her and she can believe him #he walked after her when she tried to ditch, thinking she was never important #he needs her and her face in the last pic, when she finally realizes this is just one of the best things in the fandom, I think #in that scene, just from their faces you can see how far they’ve come and where they’re going
