Captain Margaret Alexander: Captain, U.S.S. Saratoga. While on patrol in the Neutral Zone in 2286 they encountered an alien probe on its way to Earth. Scans revealed little information and the energy output of the probe was draining their power. They reported what they could to Starfleet but it was too late to pull back from the Probe range. They remained adrift until the probe’s return journey (presumably) restored power.

Appeared in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. The last name is derived from the script and is not spoken on screen. The novels established her name as Margaret (a nod to the actress) and would later rise to Starfleet CinC during the Tomed Incident(by then as Margaret Sinclair-Alexander).
