Today is apparently the 25th anniversary of the Star Trek Voyager episode Threshold, an episode so awful it broke through my apathy and compelled me to draw this. They should have had some balls and kept the kids.

I'm actually doing the official rewatch now and like. The more times you watch Threshold the more it feels like an actual greek tragedy. Tom's hubris being harshly punished by the gods. A descent into the underworld. A psychosexual nightmare. Monsterous children, cursed and abandoned... like am I in Too Deep or am I on to something?

strictly speaking, it must be acknowledged that tom paris and kathryn janeway did not abandon their lizard babies. that decision was made by longtime bitter rivals tuvok and chakotay, fully and unequivocally united in this one instance by the sheer force of the cannot fucking be doing with this provoked in both of them simultaneously by their shared experience of this event
