It’s still Day 5 If I’m doing this before going to bed!
Favourite Female Character.
Ensign Ro. No question there, whereas I usually can’t get excited about a Deanna or Dr. Crusher episode (Remember Me notwithstanding) Bring me 5 seconds of Ro Laren and her checkered background and I guarantee you’ll have my attention. Unorthodox, damaged while being strong and independent. Ensign Ro (and the creation of the Bajorans) was a healthy and needed dose of “you can have conflicting personalities.”

3. First Contact. No question there, it was a right mix of everything, pitch perfect in tone and action, the characters are at their best here (Nemesis: What emotion chip) 2nd would be Generations, 3rd Nemesis, 4th Insurrection.
4. Riker, but then I identify with him (height, some of the build, beard, daddy issues) and he’s somehow always enjoying himself. And sometimes, just sometimes he’s a little thick despite everything (whereas Geordi is mostly thick, Data is mostly clueless, Worf is Zen Rage and Wesley is….Wesley). Picard runs a close second, for immense respect.
Day 2. Favourite Episode
That’s a toughie, Yesterday’s Enterprise, Reunion, The Inner Light and Chain of Command Pt. 2 are always in my top spots. But today I have to go with Tapestry. It’s almost beyond defining and sums up Picard and Q’s relationship. It’s also the cracks we see in Picard from as death starts to settle in, the choices he changes in his youth, about the consequences of what he’s changed and pretty much his entire last speech to Q.
