Putting this here because apparently Tesla wants it taken down and the og post was already deleted.
I went looking for info on this and TESLA OWNERS ARE TRYING TO PROVE THIS WRONG BY DRIVING THEIR TESLAS AT THEIR OWN CHILDREN. The gov’t had to be like hey please don’t. Please don’t aim your entire car at your child. Please not even if your foot is hovering over the break the whole time, don’t let your car drive at a small human being.
Anyway if you’re interested, the above tweets were likely inspired by the Dawn Project running a test on the full self-driving, for which they provided full details.
people talking about these death traps full of systems that are notorious for randomly failing are really like “yeah if the car’s heat sensor fails it’ll totally just run over children”
This is one of those technologies that needs to exist, but it is not one that should have ever be implemented before it is as close to flawless as anything can get.
I’m tired.

The more you adjust the seat, the more wear it puts on the seat adjusting motor, and they don’t want to replace their cheap shitty seat adjusting parts with decent parts or have to deal with the warranty claims. So instead they limit how much you can adjust the seat.
This is apparently the real world that we live in.
There's a guy right now with a melted Model X in his driveway that's still hyping the Tesla brand while the company is deliberately ignoring his calls and tweets for some kind of customer support
