Stall him!” while she ran around getting dressed and brushing her hair and wiping the peanut butter off her chin and then carefully struck a tragic, Byronic, suffering but bleakly dignified sort of pose on her throne and said “Show him in.”

I would have enjoyed it if at the end of their talk he’d said, “If you’re at a loose end I know a guy who wants to hire a marshal.”
