I don’t think Sidious ever gave Maul a toothbrush.

Maul’s journey to clean teeth is one of the best storylines (if you can call it that?) in Star Wars.

Wow, what a beautiful smile. Anyways this is how he looks in TPM. Clearly doesn’t brush his teeth. Either Sidious didn’t provide him with a toothbrush because he is an asshole as we all know, or Maul just didn’t want to brush them.

Then below you see what they look like in TCW. I know he lived on Lotho Minor, aka the Junk World, underneath piles of trash for a long time, so I can excuse that he did not brush his teeth during that time of his life. Following that he was busy getting revenge and all.

But then SW Rebels brings us change. Maul must’ve finally gotten a toothbrush (probably paid for with his crime lord money) and I couldn’t be happier for him.

Amazing character development. Bravo!

Okay, saw some people reblogging this saying he probably has dentures and yeah you’re right. I realize now that a toothbrush couldn’t actually save his teeth after all those years.

Maul having dentures is canon now everybody :^) Congrats Maul on your nice, new teeth!!

He needed them for all that scenery he chews.
