TRON (1982)
Syd Mead, whom I personally regard as the father of the cyberpunk aesthetic (although more knowledgeable folk than myself may disagree) has died at 86. From Blade Runner, to Tron, to Gundam, his work has given richness and density to so many science fiction worlds and cyberpunk environments. His influence is as broad as his work is staggering. And will live on in memory and the productions to which he contributed.
Syd Mead.
