USS Thompson (DD-627) refueling from USS Arkansas (BB-33) on April 21, 1944. This was during an underway refueling operation, while engaging in exercises leading up to Operation Neptune and Overload.

Some of the issues I've come across as I research USS Texas (BB-35) are folk's misidentifying her and it doesn't matter the era. Here we can clearly see USS Arkansas (BB-33) labeled as USS Texas. Looks like the photo was shot sometime between 1929 and 1925.
If you are wondering how to tell, count the turrets, Texas and New York have 5, while Arkansas and Wyoming have 6.
Most of the time is its New York and Texas mistaken as each other, like the two above, but this one the few from this era I've seen mislabeled as a Wyoming Class.
