real talk: adam seems depressed, but can vampires have mental illness? think about it. according to mythology, vampires are undead, and technically they have no pulse. the reason they need to constantly drink the blood of the living is because they can’t produce any of their own to sustain their life, so if according to this vampires have no pulse and now blood flow, what is the situation with their brains? if there’s no blood flowing, does that mean that there is also no dopamine and such flowing in their brainy brains? can vampires feel at all, are their brains completely dead, are they left with the mental health situation they had while alive, or is there enough brain activity to warrant new responses to stimuli, meaning adam was okay in life but only became depressed after being undead?

hmmm. depends on rules I guess. BtVS/AtS basically has them go crazy and malnourished, like starving third world country children.

The mummified heart is said to be that of vampire Auguste Delagrance, responsible for the deaths of more than forty people back in the 1900, a period of vampirism in the USA. When he was identified, Delagrance was hunted down by a Romano Catholic priest and a Voodoo Hougan, and was destroyed in 1912. (x)
