World on a Wire was interesting. At times noir, certainly minimalist. The Thirteenth Floor owes a lot to this movie (as do dark city and the matrix to a certain extent). again it’s about the nature of existence, what’s real, programming vs free will and all that. glad I watched it.
Turns out both World on a Wire and the Thirteenth Floor are adapted from the same book! That makes sense. Two wholly different approaches mind you.
