I was very confused watching this episode, but Data was so cute I didn’t even mind

I like to think that Spot is a Trill cat and has been both a boy cat and a girl cat in their time.  This would also account for why Spot is played by a medium-fluffy cat in some episodes and a short-haired cat in others.  Different bodies!
