Bad Landing, Cornell Lab, captured by Cam Lady
(Laysan albatross)
god i hate these stupid ass birds out my window that start doing mating calls at 4 am. shes not gonna fuck you bro
if youre ever feeling bad just look at pictures of albatross chicks bc theyre adorable but also fucking hilarious like the parents look like they go to pta meetings in full makeup carrying gucci handbags and the babies look like funky little muppets and i love them

dont speak to me or my versace dress or my son ever again
i think something that freaks people out about birds might be their movements: like unlike mammals (derogatory) birds (but also like reptiles and bugs) don’t have many facial expressions, and they move in quick sharp snaps of their necks\bodies, almost like machines if you really really wish to describe it as such?? but personally i’m in love with it, it’s just almost mesmerizing, so fascinating, their ways of moving and interacting with the world really gets me, they’re listening!!! they’re paying attention!!!
i can’t get enough of dinosaurs and their quirkiness, in this house we love and appreciate birds traits
meet me in the club and see me looking around like a songbird or really focused crow
People are just jealous that these birds move funky and they don’t.
reminder that the blue jay isn’t the only colorful member of the corvid family!!! there’s actually a LOT of really colorful corvids, including but not limited to:
stellar’s jay

green jay

taiwan blue magpie

florida scrub jay

common green magpie

plush-crested jay

white-throated magpie-jay

so many gorgeous and colorful corvids!!
They really hate hands that move.
