Picked these up tonight from an apartment complex a few houses down. Once again the things people throw out/give away

Picked these up from my favourite academic/intellectuals “free” books on trash day a few weeks back
I highly recommend this.

all you could ever need in a book
My reading’s taken a hit lately (I couldn’t get into the Osiris Curse and that’s been a struggle for like a month) but I’m picking up the third Star Trek Vanguard from the library tomorrow. But what should I read aside from that next? Here’s some choices I have from my small collection:
The Scar by China Mieville
The Age of Ra by James Lovegrove
Absolution Gap by Alastair Reynolds
The Remaining by D.J. Molles
It by Stephen King
Help me decide?
WHAT IS THIS
WHAT IS THIS
WHAT
IS THIS A LIBRARY IN A THEATRE
ALL OF MY DREAMS HAVE JUST COME TRUE
oh. oh my god.
this is genuinely the most beautiful thing i have ever seen
This is a book store called El Ateneo in Buenos Aires, Argentina! You can have coffee while sitting on the stage. One of my favorite places in my city.
It’s a BOOKSTORE?!

there are balconies where you can sit to read too

and that’s the stage where you can have a coffee :)

This is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.
Some of the funniest book dedications ever.
New threat to anyone who’s being mean: “I’ll call you an assh*le on the dedication page of my next book.”
Wow I had so many more books than this too…
That is a VHS copy of the fifth element to the extreme left, next to a copy of Aliens. Gangster No. 1 is an awesome film if you want to see Paul Bettany run around in a snazzy suit. The first pile is books I haven’t read. I was trying to amass the Lost regiment series from used bookstores. All the other piles I’ve read. For a while I was really into left behind because it kept getting more and more ridiculous and cartoonish. Back to the left, the godfather was a high school or college must, Fahrenheit 451 and La nuit des temps were for French class.
I *nearly* bought this for the title alone
