Dark Phoenix was fine, a lot better than expected actually. It’s certainly better than X Men 3, or Origins Wolverine, low bars to be sure. I’d put it above Apocalypse even, just because I’ve watched that one twice now and I couldn’t tell you what actually happens in that movie. I just don’t remember. 

Did it need to be told again? No. But good on Kinberg for trying again. Too bad it killed two of its female leads (sorry, one evolved), and sidelined quicksilver halfway thru with an injury. And Storm doesn’t get to do much, again. I mean I’m sorry her powers are there but the character isn’t. And the resolutions are bit simplistic.

The Olivia Dunham Red Wig was distracting too.

But, all in all, I still enjoyed it. 

I enjoyed Spirited Away more than Totoro but the titular character is amazing.

The Hidden is basically SG1 if the Goa’uld were the sizes of housecats.
