Why don’t I return to my ship so that you’ll have time to think about it.

You know what I love about this? It indicates how Dukat is seen by other Cardassians. It’s not just Garak who thinks he’s an asshole.
They were so sure he would fuck up and try to run away from his mistakes, they recorded a *personalised message* to tell him he fucked up and they all hated him.
I love this episode. We get hints, tantalizing hints of the emnity between Dukat and Garak, we get Garak embarrassing Dukat about his twisted feelings for Kira, and no matter how smart Dukat is, no matter how many contingencies he has there’s always someone smarter than him. Plus we have Quark and Odo trapped in the latter’s office.

Dear Redshirt Widow….
MY CONSOLE!
Quark: I should have listened to my father, he always warned me this was going to happen.
Odo: What, that you'd spend your final hours in jail? I could have told you that.
Quark: Noooo. He warned me never to leave home. He said there were plenty business opportunities right outside my own door. But no, I had to follow the 75th Rule of Acquisition. Home is where the heart is, but the stars are made of latinum. A lifetime of scheming and plotting, of wheeling and dealing. And what has it gotten me? one measly little bar. My uncle Frinn owns thirty. And my cousin Gaila...
Odo: I know, I know, he owns a moon.
Quark: I told you that?
Odo: Many times.
Today’s entry in “Jake what are you wearing” fits somewhere between Wesley’s Rainbow Brite outfit and his one piece acting-ensign jumpsiut. Even jake has serious doubts about this
I’ve done this one before but I reworked it.
