I loved everything about Captain America: The Civil War except the kiss which I found to be awkward and unnecessary.

Last month I guessed it’d be Sharon Carter and I was right. Most of us were. Not that it was hard - Mark Ruffalo wasn’t in this movie so Nat was unlikely, and they wouldn’t have mentioned it if it were between Wanda and The Vision. There was only one female character left.

It was an awkward moment for me and kinda squicky too.  I mean, that’s Peggy’s niece Steve! In my theater there was dead silence until the reaction shot of Sam and Bucky which got laughs. It’s really the only moment in the movie that fell flat for me. I don’t know why The Russos felt the need to highlight it in their press.

Honestly, I really don’t need romantic subplots in my action movies but I fear I’m mostly alone in that.

Civil war: End scene - Part 2/2

yeahcoolduck

Okay so like I said, I didn’t stick around for the credits so this is all I’ve seen of this scene, and…like…I’m not sure what to think.  This is strongly speaking to magic brainwash with a magic unbrainwash solution.  To me, that is so flippant and dismissive of what this guy has been through.  I get that hey it’s comics not a psych drama but there already is a way to “get that stuff out of [his] head,” its called therapy and it’s going to be long and it’s going to suck out loud, and the fact that they send him back into cryo instead of actually trying to help this poor SOB just feels like a classic comics-style cop out.

Well it’s not too late yet for them to find there is no solution, he’s just going under so far “in the hopes of” but his whole situation is also outside the norm??
