New Voyages 4.01 In Harms Way

Uneven but a heartfelt effort. It suffers if the kitchen sink syndrome (throwing everything but). Like I said the 2006 scenes are definitely fannish. Windom delivers a good performance, despite being relegated to armchair exposition. Luna was sultry-ish and Malachi Thorne got to chew up the scenery as a Klingon commander. Still as the official first episode (what they call season 4 ) it holds promise. The effects were also odd, well rendered ships except for the planet killer which looked horribly unfinished.

The main cast was also serviceable, its an…interpretation. But I’m liking it.

Holy Shit William Windom (Commodore Matt Decker) was still alive when they made In Harms Way! He reprises his Role as Matt Decker, albeit an alternate one who’s lived out the last 40 years in Earths past. The 2006 segment is at times painfully fanfilm. Barbara Luna and Malachi Thorne are also in this one.

Well the pilot episode “00” come what may was decent. Yes there’s some cringeworthy moments here and there but already you have some behind the scenes help, good sets and a decent if shortened script. Cawleys Kirk hair is still magnificent.
