The Trill crewmen seated as Riker walks by is Max Grodénchik, better known as DS9’s Rom. His cameo in “Insurrection” ended up being cut, along with a more sizable one from Armin Shimmerman as Quark in the finale of the film.

BTW, the deleted scene above is on Youtube (x). It really did not need to be in the movie. BUT it does contain a tiny bit of information related to the Dominion War. Early in the war, Sisko and his crew destroyed the main storage facility of ketracel-white (”A Time to Stand’). Later, Damar and Weyoun negotiated a peace treaty with the Federation and its allies. But the real purpose of the treaty was to gain control of a planet on which could be found a key ingredient for producing ketracel-white (”Statistical Probabilities”). And in the deleted scene mentioned above, we learn it was the Son’a who manufactured the white for the Dominion.

Most studios and TV networks don’t like it when the writers pay attention to continuity and canon. But I appreciate it.

It didn’t make it into either the theatrical cut, the extended VHS version nor the recent directors cut. This and another photo from the scene were digitally donated directly to us for archiving by the wife of one of the actors - Burke I believe (beard).
