Commander Shelby and Chief O'Brien hanging out in Ireland today. Did O'Brien and Shelby ever meet on screen in "Best of Both Worlds"? Or just when Shelby took Data to the surface ahead of the rest of the away team?

Commander Elizabeth Shelby: Starfleet Tactical Officer by training, part of new crop of young officers rising fast in the ranks.
Prior to her promotion to Commander and First Officer of the Enterprise, Shelby joined in Starfleet Borg Response Group in 2366, putting them on track. Several new ideas were developed under her tenure there. Was also Vice Admiral J.P. Hanson’s protege. When the Borg destroyed the New Providence Colony she and Admiral Hanson travelled to the Enterprise. There she confirmed the attacked matched known Borg weaponry, Hanson returned to organize the defence of Earth leaving Shelby behind. She used some of her new ideas during the next encounter with the Borg Cube, with limited success.
Once Captain Picard was captured by the Borg and the Enterprise unable to pursue the cube, Admiral Hanson (over subspace) promoted Riker to Captain of the Enterprise, effective 2367. Riker in turn promoted Shelby to Commander and First Officer. Although they had butted heads as rivals, they worked well in their new dynamic. After Picard was rescued and the cube destroyed, Shelby joined Starfleet Task Force, which would rebuild the fleet lost at Wolf 359.
Commander Shelby appeared in “The Best of Both Worlds Pt 1 & 2″ Her first name was derived from Peter David’s novels (and the actress Elizabeth Denhey, who portrayed her) which would later see command her own ship, then base, in the New Frontier novel series.
