SAFEGE (Société Anonyme Française d’ Etude de Gestion et d’ Entreprises - an ominous sounding name that means nothing if I’ve ever heard one) type Monorail on the test track at Chateauneuf-sur-Loire. featured prominently in the movie Farenheit 451
I’m rewatching Farenheit 451, the ‘66 François Truffaut adaptation. I probably haven’t seen it since I was a kid, in french at that. In fact the version of Farenheit 451 I read was also in french (when I unpacked my boxes I still had it from my required HS or Middle School reading!) Anyone of the complaints that had stuck at the time is that the movie had a languishing pace and just plain long. I won’t finish it today (I do have to sleep) but I figured I’d restart it
Cyril Cusack and Oscar Werner in “Fahrenheit 451” (1966)
I never really got into this movie adaptation, I watched it about 15 years ago and it was just. plain. slow. I think Clooney’s been trying to develop a new version for a while now.
