The waypoint comics are fucking awesome especially w.r.t. female-centric stories like they’ve given us

- A really beautiful and bittersweet tos story about Uhura being stranded on a planet and making friends with a green goopy alien

- an adorable voy comic from the perspective of naomi wildman showing how much she idolises seven, b’elanna and janeway as her science/engineering heroes

- a ds9 comic about a bajoran tradition called ‘mother’s walk’ where female relatives walk together with a special piece of fabric holding them together that’s got the names of all the women in their family stitched into it. kira’s sad because she has no mother to walk with so dax organises everyone on the station to walk with her :’) [btw I love how they find a way to work into the story odo explicitly saying that he has no gender, a topic the show never had the guts to actually talk about lol]

- a TOS comic about the only female crew member who dies in TOS, where she reflects on her career in starfleet and all she’s accomplished. It shows her with her wife and adopted children, and at the end it shows a monument to women who have died on missions and janeway as a young cadet is standing at the monument and it’s beautiful

- In the latest issue a comic about chapel saving the day from some virus and why she loves working on the enterprise

The waypoint comics are just amazing ok I love them a lot and I want everyone to appreciate them
