kenari sounding like canary and being destroyed by a “mining accident” is amazing wow truly A+ writing. the people of kenari are truly a canary in a coal mine for how the empire will step on other civilizations, leading to the destruction of alderaan - a coreworld, a wealthy planet that might be considered safe from the brunt of Imperial oppression.
indigenous peoples have been the first to be impacted by climate change and are the least able to fight it, but ultimately we’re all feeling it now, just to different degrees (and of course marginalized communities around the world are experiencing it differently than those who have wealth and power).
