I’ve run across a few of these articles referencing Holdo reshoots to make her come across as less abrasive or condescending- suggesting also that it was to make her more sympathetic and likable when she makes her sacrifice.

But these articles are interesting because they seemingly suggest that ONLY Holdo’s dialogue was redone - not Poe’s (or his reaction shots). And if that’s accurate, that Poe’s half of things wasn’t also tempered… that seems like a problem.

Because the end result is that Holdo looks more reasonable (or at least that was the intent) while, conversely Poe looks like even MORE of an unreasonable hothead (ugh), because he’s reacting to whatever Holdo’s original lines and tone were. (And if the explanation for why his half didn’t change is that the story needed him to have those reactions so we could have the mutiny and blah blah blah… then maybe the whole plot line should have gone back to the drawing board).

End result: Holdo gets propped up at the expense of Poe — and we get subjected to 101 Hot Takes about how Poe Dameron is the true villain of The Last Jedi.

NO BUT I READ THIS WHOLE THING ONCE.

he got the CO detector out, saw that it was in dangerous levels (there was a problem with an underground parkade in his building, iirc), calmly went “shit”, and went to the hospital. If he didn’t get that advice, he would most likely be dead now.

The best part? He didn’t get a webcam app or anything. He just made a folder, called it Webcam, and called it a night in his carbon monoxide induced delirium.

This is honestly one of my favorite Reddit stories.
