I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Season 2 of Star Trek Picard should focus solely on Beverly. The first episode(s) should be all about her following her husband’s trail after his disastrous interview.

[Alyssa chiming in]: Have you seen what your husband’s up to online?

Beverly: I’m gone three whole days and he can’t stop moping already! should have just told Laris to shoot anyone who came on the property.

Followed by returning to the cottage and finding it in shamble, Laris giggling and the whole thing and Zahvan doing his best to explain and clean up.

“You may be older than me and an ex-spy but it doesn’t mean I can’t box your ears!”

(There is also an angry email to the former Stargazer doctor who is not Carter Greyhorse but his name from the novels sticks and David Paymer’s character does not)

There’s a Laris and Beverly road trip hot on Picard’s tail, and a lot of “how are we paying for damages in a moneyless society Quark’s affiliate bar?”

“Deanna, what do you mean Will’s serving him pizza. I’m in a dark and dingy Borg cube and ….well wait the cube just left, Deanna hold him there, phaser him if you have to!”

“So let me get this straight, Will left you in charge, left, you died five minutes later and now you’ve got an android body that’s also going to die one day, and that man who looks a lot like Data if he could leer isn’t an android?”
