1st gif: “garak, i don’t understand. why are you helping these people? ghemor is a traitor, an enemy of the order.” entek asks. odo is standing behind entek.

2nd gif: “treason, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder.” is garak’s reply, he and kira are holding weapons aimed at entek.

3rd gif: entek tries to threaten garak, “you’re making a serious mistake. up until now, the order was satisfied to let you live in exile, but now…” but he doesn’t get to finish his sentence.

4th & 5th gif: “come on! odo, garak, let’s go!” kira gestures to with her head, while garak starts speaking, they are still aiming their weapons at entek, “and though i’d like to stay and listen to you bluster, i simply don’t have the time.” odo comes to join them. “i’d almost forgotten what a pleasure it was to be with my fellow cardassians.”

6th gif: entek takes out a weapon while odo, kira and garak where fleeing, but garak turns back just in time to shoot entek first, entek vaporizes after getting shot.

7th gif: “a pity. i rather liked him.” garak simply remarks, behind him kira and odo look shocked.

8th gif: garak bypasses kira and odo to the door, they look at garak then at each other, before moving as well. /end id]  

[id: 10 gifs from season 2, episode 21 “the maquis part 2” from the tv series “star trek: deep space nine”, the gifs show commander benjamin sisko, and major kira nerys in sisko’s office.

1st & 2nd gif: sisko is standing inside his office, he talks to himself ““establish a dialogue.” what the hell does she think i’ve been trying to do?” kira comes into sisko’s office, she calls out to him, “commander.” but sisko picks up once more from where he stopped with his rhetorical question, “just because a group of people belong to the federation,”

3rd gif: the camera cuts to kira. sisko is still talking, “that does not mean that they are saints.” kira interrupts sisko, “excuse me.” but sisko asks her instead “do you know what the trouble is?” kira shakes her head before replying, “no.”

4th & 5th gif: the camera cuts back to sisko, who walks from behind his office to stand in front of kira. “the trouble is earth.” sisko starts to reply, and kira interjects with a “really?”, sisko continues, “on earth, there is no poverty, no crime, no war. you look out the window of starfleet headquarters and you see paradise. well, it’s easy to be a saint”

6th gif: the camera cuts to a close of kira, she is listening to sisko, “in paradise, but the maquis do not live in paradise.”

7th, 8th, 9th, & 10th gif: the camera cuts to show sisko pacing back and forth, before stopping in front of kira. he is clearly frustrated and agitated by starfleet’s response to the situation “out there, in the demilitarized zone, all the problems haven’t been solved yet. out there, there are no saints, just people – angry, scared, determined people who are going to do whatever it takes to survive, whether it meets with the federation’s approval or not.” /end id]  

[id: 10 gifs from season 3, episode 9 “defiant” from the tv series “star trek: deep space nine”, the gifs show julian bashir, quark, and kira nerys at quark’s. kira is seated while julian is standing on her right, and quark in between them for some of the gifs. the whole set is one continuous shot.

1st, 2nd & 3rd gif: the camera zooms out from kira sitting alone on a table to show quark coming from behind the bar carrying a tray, and julian standing on kira’s right with his arms crossed in front of him. “karvino juice, lorvan crackers, a holosuite program, a jumja stick and gambling tokens.” quark lists the items as he places them on the table one by one. kira looks annoyed and in disbelief.

4th gif: julian takes one step forward, “now, at least two of these items must be used and fully enjoyed before you leave this facility” he informs kira, who looks down at the items. 

5th gif: “julian, i…” kira tries to find an excuse but quark interrupts her, “i’ll be giving you a full report of her activities, doctor.”

6th & 7th gif: quark leaves kira and julian alone, and julian steps in to fill the space quark occupied. “and if i hear you didn’t completely relax and enjoy yourself tonight, we’ll do this every night until you do.” julian uncrosses his arms and holds him behind him. he leans down and grabs the jumja stick and hands it over to kira, he tells her, “have fun!” kira grabs the jumja stick from his hand.

8th, 9th & 10th gif: julian smiles as he walks away from quark’s. kira looks down to the jumja stick and sighs. the camera starts to zoom in on her. kira is smiling when she puts the jumja stick down and grabs a drink. /id end]
