Mrs. Mettie Jones bought the barracks style building from Union Pacific Railroad, according to family information, hauled it to this area circa ‘32 and opened the Green Shack restaurant. The semi-circular neon sign
attached to the front gable, now in the Neon Museum collection, is believed to be from the mid-late 30s. Green Shack closed in 1999. Demolished 2005.
