Just some badass East Asian/Southeast Asian actresses who I’d love to see in more things. I was doing research for a fancast and although most of these ended up not being useful to me, I thought putting them together in one post might make a useful resource for people trying to find an actress of the right age/ethnicity (for fancasts, etc.)

Michelle Yeoh (age 51) - Chinese/Malaysian

Ming-Na Wen (age 50) - Chinese

Li Gong (age 48) - Chinese

Lucy Liu (age 45) - Chinese

Grace Park (age 39) - Korean

Linda Park (age 35) - Korean

Zhang Ziyi (age 35) - Chinese

Maggie Q (age 34) - Vietnamese (+Irish/Polish/French on the other side)

What was striking to me doing this research is that there seem to be far fewer well-known Japanese actresses compared to Chinese or even Korean… anyone have any idea why that would be?
