#I told my mom once about the ‘lean / clean’ thing and she straight-up didn’t believe me #BUT SURELY THEY LET YOU SIT DOWN WHEN THERE ARE NO CUSTOMERS #she said to me confidently #oh mom 

AHAHAHAHAHAHA “sit down when there are no customers,” that’s a good one!

The phrase “if you have time to lean, you have time to clean” spoken in earnest makes me wanna kill a man, such is my latent trauma gained from working in fast food.

I think it’s how smugly they say it, proud of a clever rhyme that they didn’t even come up with themselves.
