Again, Volante jackets that look better than the Star Trek uniform they're based on
One of the coolest - but also the oddest - Star Trek toys ever, the “Mission to Gamma VI” playset, based on the evil snake-head computer in “The Apple.”
1979
YESSSS someone else remembered these existed!
I had the Enterprise (a bit flat), the Ferengi Marauder (ditto) and the Romulan Warbird, I don’t think I had the bird of prey.
What’s not mentioned in the video is that the Warbird separated in two! I don’t remember putting the stickers on them but i clearly remember the look and feel of the gray molded plastic.
I also had an aha! moment with the hostess TNG cards (the tiny plastic!), I had a couple of these too! (I also had the full size cards these were based on).
Now, who remembers the tiny fold-out episode photography sets? which was about 1x2 inches across and folded out to something ridiculous like 3-4 feet (while still being only two inches wide, it was like a film strip in a way, I had the one for Best of Both Worlds).
Duck McCoy is giving me a lot of sass

WAYNE’S WORLD (1992)
Best part of this - while making fun of product placement…they just nailed four perfect product placements.
And because they were FUNNY, you had a better feeling about them, and the company that was cool enough to be made fun of.
Devious.
