I love the tos trope of Kirk just saying stuff to the antagonist, just full on rambling, sometimes it’s nonsense even! to steal their attention and get Spock behind them to do a nerve pinch, no plotting necessary, this has just become their Thing and Spock always knows his cue. It’s so great I love it every time
